A father of five who is currently stranded in Luton in the UK has given a chilly account of how he got divorced, lost his job, property and is now struggling to survive.

Agya Oppong believed to be in his late 50s, disclosed to DJ Nyaami of SVTV Africa in an interview monitored by MyNewsGh.com that it all started when he brought his wife to join him in France.

According to him, he secured a stable life in France where he was working for 27-years with a major health facility and decided to bring his wife to stay with him while efforts were underway to facilitate their children to join them.

“In the process, one of my children died and my wife travelled back to Ghana for the burial. I later also travelled to Ghana and by the time I returned, she had packed all my things and flew with the children to the UK. I followed up and a lot of developments took place. In the heat of the confusion, we divorced and here I am today”, he said.

He further disclosed that he could no longer return to France because he had lost his job and property and was with the hope of making a better living in the UK but it is not as rosy as he thought.

“I am not comfortable being here because things are very tough. I am just struggling to complete the project I started before I moved back home but it is not easy”, he lamented.

A livid immigrant took the opportunity to advise Ghanaians against bringing their spouses to join them outside the country as it turns out to be their waterloo.
