Ghanaian entrepreneurs orientated on Expo Africa 2005

Accra, April 14,GNA- Mr Roland Adade, Senior Communication Specialist, at the Commercial Service of the US Embassy, has advised Ghanaian entrepreneurs craving to do business with their US counterparts to position themselves as global partners to derive the maximum benefits.

He said his office was ready to link the Ghanaian business community with huge American markets through its over 150 networks, worldwide.

Mr Adade was speaking at a day's seminar in Accra, for prospective businessmen aspiring to participate in the upcoming Expo Africa 2005, scheduled for Atlanta -Georgia from September 29 to October 4, on the theme: "Beyond The Boundaries".

Expo Africa, which is a maiden fair that would attract other African countries, seeks to expose the participants to new business frontiers.

He asked the local entrepreneurs to work hard to change the local business environment and also eschew mal business practices which has been the bane to progress of the national economy. The Communication Specialist said professionalism should be pivotal in every business operations.

He said Ghanaian businesses would be linked to the "International Buyer Programme", by exposing them to US trade shows, scheduled introductions and on site business.

The US Commercial Service has a number of publications that seeks to introduce US businesses that are interested to do business with Ghanaians.

Mr Adade said Ghanaian businesses should strive for expansion to take advantage of the huge competitive markets in the US, China and Brazil.

To facilitate the successful participation of Ghanaian businesses in Expo 2005, he asked those interested to streamline their business profiles, in line with the prerequisite formalities in the US and also enable them to obtain traveling documents for the fair. .. They must also furnish their US counterparts with accurate data and meet all deadlines and set targets.
