US Exim bank supports Ghana with US$300m facility

The CEO of the Ghana Investment promotion Centre (GIPC), Yofi Grant, has revealed that the US Exim bank is supporting Ghana with a $300 million facility to boost trade between the US and Ghana.

Mr Grant said he was optimistic of more of such supports from the US.

He tweeted at the sidelines of the World Bank Annual meetings in Washington DC that : “With Jamal Ware, advisor to the President and Chairman of US EximBank.

“US Exim is supporting Ghana Exim with a $300m facility to boost trade between Ghana and US in certain sectors. Looking to do more. At the sidelines of the World Bank Annual meetings in Washington DC.”

Regarding Ghana’s relationship with Israel, he said the two countries have a mutual interest.

“With an Israeli government delegation led by Ms Shira Greenberg discussing opportunities for private sector in agriculture, technology and innovation. Mutual interests with mutual benefits. Ghana is mainstreaming tech and innovation in the growth agenda.”
