Mudslide at Aburi: It was just a matter of time - Ghanaians react on social media

Hours after rains caused rocks and mud to be washed up from portions of the Aburi mountains onto the road impeding vehicular movements, some Ghanaians have taken to social media, particularly Twitter to vent as well as caution road users.

The mudslide which according to road users has been a disaster in waiting happened shortly after a two-hour downpour in the area.

The mud covered the Accra-Aburi stretch of road around Ayi Mensah, creating intense traffic.

The police has since released a statement indicating that traffic diversion has been put in place to curtail the traffic between Peduase Lodge and Ayi Mensah.

The incident, barely hours after it happened generated a hashtag on twitter with several comments.
