The former high commissioner to the United Kingdom in the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama administration, Emmanuel Victor Smith, has described the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration as a failure which promised castles but is now delivering mud houses.

He opined that the Akufo-Addo led NPP government has woefully failed in their administration owing the promised made prior to the 2016 polls have not been achieved.

According to the outspoken member of the opposition National Democratic Congress, (NDC), the current administration promised too much but delivered little.

In a studio discussion on Radio 1, monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Victor Smith told host Nana Kwabena Addo that it was through lies and unrealistic promises the NPP gained roots in the minds of the Ghanaian populace and now the government is found wanting.

“Things are not going on well because they promised too much. They promised heaven and they can’t deliver. You promised heaven when you know you don’t have what it takes to deliver. You are going to try but let them appreciate that Rome was not built in a day. But you didn’t tell them that”, he revealed.
