How 2 police officers were killed at Kasoa Budumburam

An amateur video footage has emerged, showing how one of the two slain MTTD officers in Kasoa was conveyed on a motorbike to the hospital.

In the video, the police officer, who had sustained gunshot wounds in the stomach, struggled to get onto a motorbike with support from some eye witnesses.

With blood oozing from the portion of his stomach where he sustained the wound, the police officer was whisked away.

He was however reported to have died on arrival at the hospital.

Sergeant Michael Djamesi and Lance Corporal Mohammed Awal– lost their lives when occupants of a vehicle they signalled to stop opened fire on them on Wednesday on the Kasoa – Budumburam highway.

The acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr James Oppong-Boanuh, has placed a GH¢10,000 bounty on the head of Eric Kojo Duah, who is alleged to be the main suspect involved in the killing of the two policemen.

Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery has meanwhile directed the acting Inspector General of Police to arm all Police Officers on traffic duty.
