The Ho branch of the Royal House Chapel (RHC) has donated assorted items to cured lepers in Ho.

The items include bags of rice, detergents, biscuits, toothpaste, toothbrushes, mosquito coils and bars of soap.

Mr Bright Gyasi, Youth leader of the Church, said the donation was to mark the 10th-anniversary celebration of the Church.

He said the gesture was also to demonstrate the Church's social responsibility towards ensuring the holistic development of individuals in society.

Mr Gyasi said the Church was working with the National Health Insurance Scheme to register and renew membership for some less privileged in the society.

Togbe Jacob Zor, chief at the Cured Lepers Village, expressed gratitude to the Church for the support, describing it as timely.

He said the donation reminded them that they were not forgotten and appealed to other benevolent organizations to support them.

Mr Nelson Atito, Caretaker, Cured Lepers Village, also expressed gratitude to the Church saying the donation would help many to live dignified and meaningful lives.
