Asuogyaman Spellathon 2019 produces great talents

Miss Christiana Amanor, a form 3 student of New Akrade Presby JHS in the Senchi Circuit has emerged the SPELLAQUEEN in the first Inter Circuit JHS Spelling Competition (SPELLATHON-2019) organised by the District directorate of education with sponsorship from Paul Asare Ansah.

In the keenly contested champion of champions competition, Miss Amanor beat 27 other contestants from the 7 Circuits of Asuogyaman, spelling very complex english words to emerge overall champion.

At the primary level, Master Raphael Bentsil of Akosombo RC Primary School cleared all doubts by flogging 28 other contestants to emerged champion, spelling words that appeared bigger than his smallish figure.

In his remarks at the event at Atimpoku, Paul Asare Ansah renewed his pledge to sponsor the champions to the regional and national levels to bring glory to Asuogyaman.

He was confident that the competition will help improve the standard of education in Asuogyaman.

The DCE, Hon. Samuel Kwame Agyekum thanked Mr. Paul Asare Ansah for his continuous benevolence and called on other well endowed citizens to emulate his shining example.

The District Director of Education, Mrs. Theodora Kutorkor Entee advised the contestants to focus on their studies and avoid negative tendencies that will undermine the achievement of their goals in life.
