Kumasi Metro to partner Media General to grow SMEs

The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly has expressed its readiness to partner Media General in growing Small and Medium Scaled Enterprises in Ghana.

This, the assembly believes is key for national development.

The Mayor of Kumasi Metro, Osei Assibey, speaking to Grace Hammond Asare during Media General’s Start-up and Funding Summit in Kumasi, said the assembly has already established a sub-committee committed to promoting trade and industry.

“Our sub-committee is ready to support the SMEs. We are glad that media General has brought all of them under one umbrella for easy access and data collection”, he said.

We are ready to collaborate with Media General to take this to another level and help these start-ups”, he added.

He was optimistic the Media General Start-up Fair and Funding Summit will produce the desired results

“I’m happy and excited about this event. This is the first of its kind and I know that the start-ups will get value for their money”, he noted.

The 3-day event ongoing at the Kumasi City Mall has gathered over 90 exhibitors to showcase their products, goods and services and will be climaxed with a funding summit.
