Serbian Coach tips Ghana for AFCON glory

Serbian juvenile coach of Ghanaian premier league side, AshantiGold FC, Svatislav Tanasijevic has trumpeted his firm belief in Ghana’s quest to be continental champions in the upcoming African Cup Of Nations(AFCON) in June.

He asserted that Ghana’s senior national team,the Black Stars have unparalleled superiority over the competition’s other contenders.

In an exclusive interview with Ghanacrusader.com the affable Serbian payed tribute to Ghana’s rich football history, describing the nation as the “Brazil of Africa”.

“Ghana is rich in football talent, there are a lot of very good players in Ghana, that’s why Ghana is described as the Brazil of Africa”, Tanasijevic said.

According to the Serbian, the Black Stars have a technical advantage over other teams headed for the continents biggest football event. He is hopeful of the country’s title ambitions for the AFCON and is convinced by the depth in the squad.

"I see Ghana as favorites for the AFCON because they have some very experienced players who are determined to prove something. I think Ghana are more experienced and there are a lot of very good players in the team”, he said.
