President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has said his government would facilitate infrastructural development at the shortest possible time for the smooth take-off of the new regions.

The President re-affirmed that development would not centre only on the new regional capitals, but would be spread across the entire regions.

Speaking at an inter-denomination church service organised by the Atebubu local council of churches to welcome him as part of his four-day working visit to the Bono-East Region, President Akufo-Addo called on the people to support the new regional ministers to achieve their mandate of pushing forward development.

Nana Akufo-Addo said it was the priority of his government to ensure equitable distribution of infrastructural development in the new regions and directed the new Regional Coordinating Councils to work towards that direction.

The President later paid a courtesy call on Pemampem Yaw Kagbrese IV, the Paramount Chief of Yeji Traditional Council.

He promised to address the perennial water problem at Yeji and its surrounding communities after Pemampim Kagbrese IV who is also the President of the Brong-Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs appealed to him in that direction.
