Senior Manager for MTN Corporate Communications, Georgina Asare Fiagbenu has advised Ghanaian youth to embrace volunteerism as a great way of positioning oneself well in the effort to achieve their dreams.

“Volunteer to join any establishment to develop your skills, dreams and capabilities, go beyond sea level to position yourself in life, do a 360 degrees stretch and take more space in developing your aims, dreams and aspirations” she stated.

She explained going beyond sea level as the process of stretching hard in life to achieve targated goals, exploring widely to uncover dreams you least expected to reach but which is your passion and finally extracting hard after you have volunteered and connected yourself to others.

She said this at the 2019 Springboard Road Show held in the University of Cape Coast New Examination Center over the weekend to empower the youth to identify and build their talents.

Using her own life as an example, Madame Fiagbenu recounted how a simple decision to volunteer her services to Radio Station ended her search for job overnight.

She further urged them to get connected, know people and let others know them, as this has become very helpful when searching for a job in the world, she shared how a friend of her’s connected her in a day to get a job without going through any hassle. She called such experience as a net that works.

Springboard Roadshow is the biggest and longest-running motivational platform for students and emerging leaders. Its consistency cannot be questioned. It has been organized without fail for the past 12 years with MTN been a lead sponsor for the past 11 years, joining a year after it was started.

The roadshow normally takes place in all 10 regions and runs from January ending to March.
