I don’t do politics with player selection- C.K Akonnor

In a bid to quench speculations of a rigged player selection scheme in Asante Kotoko, head coach of the team, Charles Kwabla Akonnor has categorically affirmed that he operates a purely performance-based criteria for team selection.

“I would not field a player who would not help my cause because its my job that would be on the line”, an animated Akonnor said.

He rubbished suggestions that he had an order of preference that sabotaged Kotoko’s CAF Confederation cup ambitions by fielding players who could have been replaced by better ones in the continental adventure.
