Unimech Auto and Bosch have join forces to create more employment for mechanical engineers in the country.

Following the opening of a Bosch Car Service centre with Unimech Auto at Mantey Farms, near Frafraha in Accra, Managing Director of Unimech Auto, Bernice Bakura explained that the collaboration between them will require more experts to handle different services.

“We have some staff at Unimech, however, with the coming in of Bosch and more clients, we are to employ more people to help service the customers. In terms of quality, we will need more people to do quality control assurance,” the Managing Director added.

Trade Marketing and Communications Manager for Bosch West and Central Africa, Geraldine Partington also stated that Bosch collaborated with Unimech Auto because the later has the facilities and meet the international standards.

Mrs. Partington added that “Africa has a very heterogeneous workshop market and due to the high cost of vehicle repair in the formal sector the majority of mobility users are forced to use the cheaper informal workshops. Bosch Automotive in Africa recognized the need for a full service solution which is positioned strategically in-between the formal and informal workshop segments.”

The Bosch Car Service network delivers an aftermarket vehicle servicing solution of bumper to bumper servicing from minor to major services on all makes and models of vehicles. The service offering typically includes vehicle diagnostics, maintenance and repair with a safety check, ensuring the motorists’ vehicle is in a roadworthy condition.

Additional services include battery testing and battery charging, suspension, oil/filter changes, brake pads, brake fluid, spark plugs, bulbs, battery and wiper blades replacement and also air-conditioning service.
