Ghana-France Expo 2005 Launched

The Deputy Minister for Trade Industry and President?s Special initiatives, Mr. Kwadwo Affram Asiedu, has noted that global competition had become so keen that only industries that introduced dynamism in their operations could survive.

He has, therefore, called on Ghanaian industries, particularly those in the export trade, to acquire the needed information on the international market.

Mr. Asiedu was speaking at the launch of Ghana-France Expo 2005 in Accra. It was organised by Africonsul Limited and Witsec SARL, Ghanaian business consultancies.

Mr. Afram-Asiedu stressed the need for Ghanaian companies to acquire the relevant knowledge on product development, packaging, shipping requirements and documentation of customs procedure and regulations, among other things.

Adequate knowledge and application of techniques on these, he stressed, would better pre-dispose Ghanaian products to the international market competition.

The Chief Executive Officer of Africonsul, Mr. Kwesi Bekoe, explained that Ghana-France Expo 2005 was designed to showcase Ghana?s trade and investment potentials and increase formal trade relations between Ghana and France.
