Head coach of Hearts of Oak Kim Grant is delighted with the performance of his charges in their pre-season 4-0 victory over Sekondi Hasaacas.

The Phobians proved too strong for Hasaacas at the Sekondi Gyandu Park on Sunday.

In-form forward Joseph Esso opened the scoring in the 20th minute by converting a spot-kick.

Fifteen minutes later, Kojo Obeng Junior doubled the lead after heading home from a rebound before youngster Manaf Umar fired past the keeper from a counter-attack just after the hour mark.

The Accra-based giants sealed the win on the 70th-minute mark after Manaf soared to head home his second from a fine cross from the right.

"I thought we did very well today. You can start seeing that the energies and recoveries we have been putting in place came to fruition today, and the players really followed right from the word kick-off," Grant stated on the club's YouTube channel.

"I was really pleased with how we started and that's the type of start I want for us and obviously we controlled the game for 90 minutes."
