Court orders freezing of properties of Menzgold

The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) on Tuesday said it has secured a Court order freezing of landed properties and vehicles of Menzgold Ghana Limited.

Other properties also seized under the court order include Zylofon Arts Complex, Brew Marketing Consult, Star Madrid Football Club, Zylofon Music and Media Company Limited, Brew Energy Company Limited, and G-Tech Automobile Service.

EOCO said, two properties located at Trassaco Valley that is plot number 315 and plot number 337, plot of land (Number 54) near Oak Street- Trassaco Valley, uncompleted residence,510 acres of land have also been seized.

In a statement issued by Jacqueline Avotri, Head of Public Affairs of EOCO, the office said all employees of the affected companies, relatives and friends who are in possession of any such properties were to surrender same in compliance with the court order.

The statement said failure to do so would constitute contempt of court which would attract appropriate sanctions.

The EOCO said the public should also assist the office by providing information to facilitate the retrieval of all vehicles and properties not listed in the freezing order.
