The management of VIP Jeoun Transport Company Limited has denied media reports that its Terminal at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle suffered from Wednesday night’s fire outbreak at the Odawna market.

A statement issued by the management on Thursday, 17 January 2019, said: “Initial news reports last night 16/01/19 indicated there was fire outbreak at the VIP Transport Terminal at Kwame Nkrumah Circle Accra.

“We wish to assure our loyal travelling public that such news reports are not true. VIP JEOUN Transport has not suffered any fire outbreak and that there's absolute normalcy at the Terminal.

“It will be recalled that fire has gutted the Odawna Pedestrian Market, which is 500 metres across the Odaw River from the VIP JEOUN Transport Terminal.

“VIP JEOUN, as a safety conscious entity, deployed all measures to protect life and property at the terminal, in the unlikely situation of the fire spreading across the river. Please disregard earlier news reports and patronize VIP JEOUN as usual.”
