Asante Kotoko skipper Amos Frimpong is expecting massive turnout at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday as the Porcupine Warriors welcome Coton Sport Garroua in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup play-off.

The Reds skipper believes that the supporters will have a huge role to play in the game on Sunday, urging them to turn up in their numbers to cheer the team on to victory.

The Ghanaian side managed a 3-2 win over the Cameroonians but Frimpong feels the visitors can be dangerous on Sunday.

The Kotoko right-back believes the Cameroonian side can cause an upset in Kumasi on Sunday, hence the need for the fans to march to the stadium to fill the stands.

“They have a very good team that can cause havoc in the return leg so we have to be focused and get the job done to perfection,” Amos noted.

“I remember watching a match at the Kumasi Sports Stadium where firefighters had to come in and spray water onto the crowd because it was packed.

“I’m expecting such a crowd on Sunday so that the firefighters will spray water onto the fans once again,” he added.

Kotoko will need to only avoid defeat to secure a ticket to the group stage of the competition.
