We won’t send you to Parliament to steal - Social media users ‘attack’ Dumelo

Ghanaian actor and political figure, John Dumelo, is at the receiving end of incessant verbal attacks, YEN.com.gh can report.

According to MyNewsGH.com, some Ghanaians have taken to social media to express their displeasure at the fact that Dumelo has expressed his interest in the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat.

The seat became vacant after the Member of Parliament (MP) for the constituency, Emmanuel Kyeremanten Agyarko lost his life.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported of rumours to the effect that his two widows were interested in contesting for the seat, but this was proven to be false. Others names have popped up since his the politician’s demise, and the latest to join the list is Dumelo.

This has however been met with fierce resistance as some people have rubbished his intent to contest.

Taking social media, one allegedly wrote that “stealing 1 V8 was enough; we won’t send you to Parliament to steal more.” Another added that “Ayawaso is not for comedians .

Even if Mahama himself contested mpo, he will be beaten.” A third was of the opinion that “Dumelo is day dreaming.”

The actor who has appeared on several campaign platforms of the NDC in the run up to the 2016 general elections is rumored to be engaged in consultations with party stalwarts to determine his next course of action.
