A National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for the Krowor constituency, Daniel Alabi, has been granted bail in the sum of GHC80,000.

Alabi allegedly led a group of people to attack the pastor and the members of the Agape Restoration Ministry Church at Tema, Community 19.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that the incident occurred on Wednesday, November 28, 2018.

The suspects were arraigned on Monday, December 3, 2018 on charges of causing harm and damage.

They however pleaded not guilty and were admitted to GHC80,000 bail each with two sureties.

The Circuit Court presided over by Priscilla Mireku adjourned the case to December 17, 2018.

Alabi was arrested on Thursday, November 29, 2018 by the police together with the other accused persons for damaging property.

The two and others, who are at large, have also been accused of causing harm to some church members and the head pastor Rev. Ebenezer Arthur.

Rev. Arthur sustained multiple machete wounds in the palm, wrist, the nose and the head.

The police have described his injury as “severe” but said he is responding to treatment.

Other members of the church who were also injured have since been issued with police medical forms.
