A businessman based in Techiman in the Brong Ahafo Region, Mr. Kwadwo Agyei has made a passionate appeal to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. David Asante Apeatu as a matter of urgent, transfer Chief Inspector Raymond Allas Awuolege as Station Officer with the Techiman Divisional Police Command.

According to the popular businessman, the long stay of the police officer in the area is not helping security matters in Techiman and it environs, therefore, the IGP must take action without delay.

Speaking to journalists, Mr. Kwadwo Agyei alleged the C/Insp. Awuolege has strong ties with criminals tormenting innocent residents and traders who come into the municipality to transact businesses.

The wild allegations come at the back of police in the arresting and granting self-recognized bail to one Emmanuel Owusu after he allegedly stabbed two victims including a private security guard in an attempt to rob them.

Meanwhile, checks by this reporter at Brong Ahafo Regional Police Command revealed C/Insp. Awuolege has been transferred to Yamfo Police Station in the recent police reshuffle but still mind-boggling why he is still with Techiman Police Command.
