Kwesi Appiah has blocked me on WhatsApp - Outspoken J.E Sarpong reveals

Outspoken coach J.E Sarpong has revealed that Kwesi Appiah has blocked him on WhatsApp for questioning his team building method following a 2019 AFCON qualifying defeat against Kenya.

In the aftermath of Ghana’s 1-0 defeat to the Harambee Stars of Kenya in the AFCON 2019 qualifier, the former Hearts of Oak trainer urged to Black Stars coach, Kwesi Appiah to put an end to his experimentation with the national team players who are playing in the AFCON qualifiers.

Coach Appiah has been chastised severely over his decision to sideline the team’s captain, Asamoah Gyan alongside the Ayew brothers and Wakaso Mubarak.

“Kwesi Appiah has blocked my WhatsApp line and I don’t know why he will do that. I have been trying to get him since they came back from Kenya but no avail,” Sarpong said on Happy FM.

The Black Stars are still on top of the group with a better goal advantage despite their loss to Kenya.

They will play two quick afcon qualifying games against Sierra Leone next in October.
