Give Kwesi Appiah two years to build Black Stars – Godwin Attram

Former Coach of Accra Great Olympics, Godwin Attram is pleading with Ghanaians to give Coach Kwesi Appiah two years to build a very strong Blackstars team.

According to him the pressure on Kwesi Appiah to call back the likes of experienced players like Asamoah Gyan and the Ayew brothers will prevent Kwesi Appiah from reaching his goals.

He explained team building is a process and you cannot have both old and new players in the team at the same time and at some point, some would have to be dropped to let new ones in.

“As a tactician, I can confidently say Kwesi Appiah will recall the old players. But if there is so much pressure on him to recall them, then he cannot build the team.”

“If you’re building a team, you cannot do it with all the guys.” He said on Agoo Tv

Attram also said it was unfair to Kwesi Appiah to be blamed for the inability of certain high profiled players to perform when called into action.

“Why do we always blame coaches for the under performance of players? Kwesi Appiah Assembled players from various top flight leagues across the world so if they do not perform well on a match day, we should blame them instead.” –He said
