Fidelity Bank Limited has donated a medical ventilator worth GHC 100,000.00 to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi.

The medical ventilator is a life-saving device that moves breathable air in and out of the lungs, to aid breathing for the critically ill, receiving intensive care.

The donation was part of the Bank’s corporate social responsibility to help equip the second largest referral facility in the country, to deliver quality emergency services.

Mr Julian Kingsley Opuni, Deputy General Manager, who presented the equipment, said the bank would continue to work with the hospital to provide some of the needed tools and equipment to ensure efficient health care delivery and reduce mortality rates at the facility.

He called on other corporate organizations and institutions to also help in that direction.

Dr Oheneba Owusu-Danso, Chief Executive of KATH, thanked the bank for the gesture.

He said almost every department of the hospital needed at least one ventilator.

Dr Owusu-Danso appealed to benevolent individuals and organizations to come to the aid of the facility to help save more lives.
