Bawumia lauds Isaac Dogboe; says he is great

Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has congratulated WBO Super Bantamweight Champion Isaac Dogboe for defending his title.

The Royal Storm, Isaac Dogboe successfully defended his World Boxing Organisation super bantamweight title with a first-round stoppage of Hidenori Otake.

The Ghanaian floored his Japanese opponent twice before the referee stepped in to save the 37-year old from further punishment.

He declared he is ready to face the biggest names in the division.

In a Facebook post, Sunday, Dr. Bawumia noted Isaac Dogboe is great at his sport and that Ghana will continue to be proud of him.

The post read: "I congratulate Isaac Royal Storm Dogboe for defending the WBO Super Bantamweight title against Hidenori Otake of Japan with a technical knockout in Round One.

"Royal Storm", you are great at your sport and Ghana will continue to be proud of you."
