Guinness Ghana releases update on proposed merger

Guinness Ghana Limited has extended its deadline for the offer made to Ghana Breweries shareholders from October 5, 2004 to November 5, 2004. The company arrived at this decision with the consent of Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Guinness Ghana, in the face of ongoing legal proceedings will postpone the timetable set out for the settlement of Ghana Breweries shareholders. Guinness Ghana intends keeping shareholders informed of progress with the proceedings, reports Databank research
