As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, Apsonic Motor Company Limited has donated to the Ghana Police Service and the Customs Excise and Preventive (CEPS) of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) in the Upper West Region.

The Upper West Regional Police Command received raincoats, reflectors and 2 cross motorcycles (AP200GY-3) to aid them in the protection of lives and property in the region in view of the recent increasing spate of criminal activities.

“This is to enable Police to make effective patrols to combat criminal activities within Wa township and other areas”, a representative of the company disclosed.

Customs, on the other hand, received a brand new cross motorcycle (AP200GY-3) to enable them to make border patrols.

Marketing Manager of Apsonic Motor Company Limited, Mr A. Karim Nasam who made the donation on behalf of the company, said his outfit acknowledges the contributions of customs in curbing smuggling within border areas and urged them to continue to discharge their duties without fear or favour in the interest of the country.

He pleaded with them to help monitor some of the spare parts smuggled into the system, revealing that some unscrupulous business persons from Nigeria have made it a habit of bringing into the country the fake and imitated parts as though they are from Apsonic Motors Company Limited.

Mr A. Karim Nasam was accompanied by the region’s main distributors Alhaji Muskila.

Commanders of the two security establishments commended Apsonic Company for the good work and pledged the items would be put to proper use.
