A former New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential aspirant, Francis Addai Nimo, has indicated his readiness to serve in the current government.

Speaking to Atinka FM’s Barimah Saakwa Thursday, Addai Nimo said he was hopeful that he would be given the opportunity to serve even though most of his ‘colleague presidential aspirants’ are already serving in government.

Addai Nimo including the sitting president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, Mr. Joe Ghartey, Mr. Kofi Osei Ameyaw, Alan Kyeremanten and Stephen Asamoah Boateng all contested in the 2014 presidential race. All with the exception of Addai Nimo are serving in government.

“Even though all my colleagues are in government serving now, I still have hope that my time will come and the government will give me the opportunity to also come and serve mother Ghana with my expertise,” the former Mampong MP told this reporter.

Mr. Addai Nimoh took the opportunity to urge “party communicators who are yet to enjoy the fruits of their labour”, to remain calm and hope for the best.

Some party communicators have vowed to stop speaking for the party because they’ve been neglected by the government.

But Addai Nimoh advised the party communicators to consider the unity of the party and continue to offer selfless service for the government adding, “the interest of the party is supreme.”

He also called on the new leadership of the party to move swiftly to address the concerns of the grassroots to ensure a smooth victory in 2020. .
