'I’m still at post' – Deputy regional minister denies resignation reports

The deputy Eastern Regional Minister, Joseph Tetteh, has denied reports making rounds that he has tendered in a resignation.

A letter sighted by 3news.com in parts cites the sacking of former Energy Minister, Boakye Agyarko, who is also from the Eastern region as one of the reasons for his decision to resign his post.

“I wish to tender in my resignation from the position of deputy eastern regional minister. This is due to the current happenings in your government especially the dismissal of my senior brother and colleague, Hon. Boakye Agyarko, who has been a strong pillar in the Krobo bloc and who support led to the annexing of the seat from the NDC in the Upper Manya Krobo Constituency”, parts of the purported resignation letter reads.

But Mr. Tetteh, who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Upper Manya Krobo constituency told Onua News’ Bright Dzakah, the letter is fake.

“I am currently driving from my constituency to Accra. That letter being circulated is not true. I did not write any resignation letter to the Presidency. I am still at post”, he told Bright on phone.

Meanwhile, the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has made his first reshuffle with a number of ministers being reassigned but maintaining the 110 ministerial appointees.
