McDan Foundation as part of its education facility programme has cut sod for the construction of a six unit classroom block for Teong primary school in the Upper East Region.

The sorry state of the school was brought to the fore by GhOne Television and attracted the attention of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the McDan Group, Dr. Daniel McKorley who instructed that immediate steps be taken to construct a brand new six unit classroom block for the school.

Foundation lead at the McDan Foundation, Gerald Owusu Doku said the McDan group Chairman was touched by the video shown by GhOne Television, hence directed that swift attention be given to the project.

The project is estimated to last three months after which it will be handed over to offials of the District and the school.

The District Chief Executive for the area who was overwhelmed by the magnanimity of the business mogul and the swiftness with which he responded to the distress call for support for the school, thanked Dr. McKorley, the McDan Foundation and the GhOne for the initiative.

The contractors for the project on their part promised to deliver on time, adding that they are ready to work at ensuring the realization of the vision of the McDan Foundation
