Ellembele MP Honored at 2018 Nzema Excellence Award

The Member of Parliament of the Ellembele constituency in the Western Region Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah have been honoured and recognized by the people of Nzema at the third edition of the Nzema Excellence Awards (NzEA 2018) at Esiama in the Ellembele District.

The ceremony which was under the distinguished chairmanship of Awulae Angamah Tu-Agyan, paramount chief and president of Nzema Manle Council saw a total of sixteen (16) categories of awards presented with David Brigidi S. Cobbinah and Hon. Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah receiving the highest honor as Nzema Personality of the year 2016/2017 and Outstanding Personality Governance, Politics and Public Service 2016/2017 respectively. Other award winners include Mr. Charles Mensah, Dr. Kwaku Karikari Annin, Axim Youth Alliance, St. Martin D’Pores Hospital among others



Hon. Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, the Member of Parliament for Ellembele Constituency and a former minister of Energy and Petroleum under the Mahama lead government, received the honor and award as the Outstanding Nzema Personality in Governance, Politics and Public Service in recognition of his meritorious service and quality of work to the people.

The impact of Hon. Buah in the fields of education, infrastructure and employment are not only limited to his constituency, Ellembele, but spread across the whole of Nzemaland.

The Executive Director of DEQ Change Foundation,organizers of the Nzema excellence awards Mr. Richfield Anlimah Quarshie, indicated that the massive efforts and role of key individuals, such as Hon. Buah, in embarking and supporting Nzema's development has been unparalleled, hence the need to inspire and motivate such personalities to continue in their worthy course.

The ceremony was attended by chiefs, queen mothers, political figures and many personalities served as a token of appreciation from the Nzema Communities to individuals and corporate organization that are making enormous contribution to the development of the people and communities in Nzema.05
