Ghana is in danger of losing the hosting rights for the African Women Cup of Nation as the Confederation of African Football (CAF) calls a crisis meeting with Sports Minister, Isaac Asiamah.

This is even as CAF reportedly instructed South Africa, Nigeria and Cameroon to be on the alert should Ghana be eventually stripped of the right.

Asiamah will travel to Madagascar next week to meet with the President of CAF, Ahmad Ahmad, to discuss the report and the likely options, which includes taking away the right from Ghana.
The 13th edition of the the biennial international football championship organised for the women's national teams of Africa, was scheduled to kick off form 17 November to 1 December 2018.

The tournament also doubles as the African qualifiers to the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The top three teams will qualify.
