Some employees of Anowah Afrique Company Limited are making demands for unpaid salaries owed them for the past three months.

The employees lament over what they described as “unfair” treatment meted out by their Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Miss Catherine Anowah Cofie.

Anowah Afrique is a fashion company involved in the designing and sewing of garments, and it is located at the free zone enclave in Tema.

According to the aggrieved workers, their CEO, Catherine Anowah Cofie has on several occasions defaulted in the payment of their salaries resulting to some employees of the company resigning.

The workers who besieged TV3 premises on Tuesday, July 31 are calling on the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Labor Commission, Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice and all other stakeholders to help to ensure that all outstanding salaries are paid them.

They also alleged that although they are deducted Pay as You Earn (PAYE), the taxes are not filed at the Revenue Authority.

According to them, the company has failed to contribute to their provident fund among other things they were promised.
