Leila Deshina Sahnun, a 17-year-old girl of Wesley Girls’ High School, Cape Coast, has posted a fantastic WASSCE results, maintaining the standards she began during her junior high school BECE exams at the Mount Zion Methodist JSS in Tema Community 13.

Her performance is certainly going to encourage girls in the Islamic communities across the country to study hard to attain great academic laurels.

The recently released WAEC results had her securing AI Excellent in all the subjects she offered, namely Social Studies, English Language, Mathematics Core, Mathematics Elective, Business Management, Financial Accounting and Economics.

At the JHS level, her BECE results showed a similar performance in which but for her ICT paper in which she posted 3, she scored 1 in all the other subjects like English Language, Social Studies, Religious & Moral Studies, Mathematics, Integrated Science, French, Akan Akwapim and Home Economics.

When DAILY GUIDE spoke to her about her performance, she was full of confidence. “I expected to do well in the examinations. I want to pursue a programme in Accounting or Economics at the University of Ghana if God permits,” she said.

Her excellence is a source of joy for her extended family in both Accra and Yendi.
