Quiet trading continues on Accra bourse

Accra, Oct. 4, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) continued to experience quiet trading on Monday with the GSE All-Share Index, the main market gauge, barely inching up. The GSE All-Share Index was 1.11 points higher at 6,998.94 points from Friday's close of 6,997.83 points. Only 10,300 shares changed hands as major investors continued to stay away from the market. Change year to date now stands at 99.96 per cent.

Market capitalisation was up marginally at 97,200.72 billion cedis from 3,425.70 million issued shares. There were four price changes, all positive.

Fan Milk Limited led the way with 95 cedis gain at 14,600 cedis, Mobil Oil Ghana Limited was 89 cedis better at 37,600 cedis, Patterson Zochonis gained five cedis at 4,555 cedis and CFAO inched up by two cedis at 162 cedis.
