Hello and welcome to our coverage of the concluding games of the semi-final stage of the 2018 World Cup. Two spots are up for grabs today and England and Sweden will do battle for one at the Samara Stadium.

The Three Lions roared into the quarters with a 4-3 penalty win over Colombia while Sweden defeated Switzerland by a lone goal to set up a quarter-final match with England.

England hope to reach the last four of the World Cup for the first time since 1990 and Harry Kane who has 6 goals so far is expected to lead the charge.

Sweden have not reached the semi-finals of the World Cup since 1994 and will give everything today to make that happen.

England are favourites to win this encounter but will have to do that without striker Jamie Vardy who nursing an injury.

Sebastian Larsson will be available for selection again after serving a suspension, but Mikael Lustig will miss the game after picking up two yellow cards.

Sweden’s strength lies in their defence and England will have to dig deep to secure victory over them.

This will be the 25th meeting between these sides. England have won eight to Sweden's seven, with nine draws.

Both of the previous World Cup meetings between Sweden and England have finished level, with a 1-1 draw in 2002 and a 2-2 in 2006 (both in the group stages).
