The University of Health and Allied Sciences in Sokode-Lokoe, Ho in the Volta Region has matriculated 450 students for the 2017/2018 academic year.

The students who were shortlisted out of about 700 applicants took matriculation oaths for courses in Allied Health Sciences, Public Health, Nursing and Midwifery.

The sandwich programme which would run during long vacations would see the students awarded a Bachelor of Arts Certificate after a successful completion of their various courses.

Welcoming the students, the Vice Chancellor, Prof John Owusu Gyapong, implored the students to abide by the rules and regulation of the institution to warrant a peaceful academic journey.

He warned them against examination malpractices adding person caught engaging in such acts would be dealt with accordingly.

Mr Gyapong also stressed that persons who applied for admission using forged results would be fished out and shown the exit.

“We will go and check results of each and every one of you at the West African Examination Council.

So if you know you applied using a forged result better pack your baggage and leave before we find out”, he said.
