LIVE UPDATES: England vs Belgium (2018 FIFA World Cup)

Belgium and England are already through to the next stage of the tournament Belgium and England are already through to the next stage of the tournament

Hello and welcome to our coverage of the game almost every football fan has been looking forward to, England vs Belgium.

It’s a clash of two teams with some familiar faces. Belgium is led by a coach who once coached in the English Premier League and have a chunk of their expected starting 11 plying their trade in the EPL.

But tonight teammates will become rivals as they search for 3 points and pride for their countries. Vertonghen and Toby Alderweired come up against club teammates Kane, Alli and Dier.

DeBruyne faces Manchester City teammate Sterling. If Cahill gets a chance to play tonight then he will face a herculean task of keeping colleague Hazard quiet.

Both teams have already booked qualification but there is pride to play for, added to the potential of facing a less tougher opponent in the next round.

Both coaches will ring changes in their teams but you can trust Harry Kane to start with his eye fixed on the golden boot. Roberto Martinez will have to make a late decision on Lukaku who picked up an injury in their last game.

"In terms of our team, I don't want to be obstructive but I don't want to give our opposition any help with what our team might be. I think the intensity of the game will be good because the players that come in when you make changes have a high level of motivation”, England coach Gareth Southgate said.

This will be the third meeting between England and Belgium at the World Cup, with England so far unbeaten in their encounters.

Belgium have won just one of their 21 meetings with England (D5 L15) - a 3-2 victory in May 1936.

The other group game is between Panama and Tunisia. The result of the game is inconsequential as both teams are already out of the competition.

Nonetheless, we will give occasional updates of that game due to the African interest in Tunisia.
