Lead exemplary lives Chief Halipha urges youth

Chief Halipha Mohammed Haidra of Saraki Zongo at Amasaman in the Ga West Municipality of the Greater Accra Region, has called on the youth to live exemplary lives.

He said it is through prayers that the fortune of the country could be realized and called on Imams in the country to pray unceasingly for the leaders in the government.

Chief Halipha, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency shortly after a meeting with a cross-section of the youth at Amasaman, said those elected or appointed to responsible positions, needed prayers and peace to enable them focus their attention for the progress and development of the country.

He also cautioned the youth to display the qualities of maturity in their daily lives.

The youth joined him to pray for the President and his vice, Ministers of State, Parliamentarians, the judiciary and those in responsible positions.

Traditional rulers have a role to help the government to move the country forward Chief Halipha said and appealed to government to support the youth in the area by helping to provide more jobs.

Imam Rahman Abdullah of the Ga West Municipalility, a participant at the event, urged Muslims to brace themselves to play an integral role in societal affairs.

He advised the youth to desist from joining bad companies in order not to be branded as agents of destruction adding that “Islam is peace”.
