I’ve learnt lessons from ‘insults’ over my crowd renting comment - Inusah Fuseini

Following MyNewsGh.com’s reportage on the reaction that greeted Inusah Fuseini’s crowd renting comment against his NDC party, the Honourable NDC MP, we are learning, has welcomed the harsh criticisms he received over the issue from the party’s grassroots and has said he’s pick useful lessons from the blunt feedback from grassroots of NDC and will adjust his comments accordingly.

“To be fair to all those who have raised concerns, I think that such criticisms from party supporters serve as a check on those of us who speak on behalf of them.” Inusah Fuseini said.

“Don’t also forget that there is no scientific basis yet to the claim of crowd sourcing but simply an opinion.” He explained.

“So if the grassroots in their condemnation are equally providing counter opinions, it is only fair that we take it in our stride and try to work to reflect their wishes and possibly be persuaded by their logic just like my other colleagues perhaps got me.” The Tamale lawmaker added.

In an article from his aide, Hamza Suhuyini on Facebook, Inusah Fuseini said he considers himself at all times a servant of the people and was supposed to listen to what they have for him.

In his opinion, it may be possible the grassroots told him in his face, what his colleagues in parliament and former top government officials could not, MyNewsGh.com learnt.

His aide praised the humility of his boss and expressed hope that other young people will learn to be as humble.

Hamza, I have personally taken advantage of the holiday scouting around social media and I think that we must be accommodating enough to dissent. I noticed that many of those who praised me on my last two shows on joynews on that same platform have raised concerns about the content of my interview. Some have raised issues with the timing, others with the platform and others have questioned the veracity of my claim. A claim I also questioned when some of my colleagues who were out of government raised the same concern some few months to election 2016 and I had running arguments with them on WhatsApp platforms because I didn’t buy it then. Perhaps, I have been persuaded with time by their earlier position.

At my stage, some of my colleagues might have challenges in prompting me on my excesses and so grassroots outbursts on social media constitute a useful assessment platform for me. Our objective is to manifest their views and so if their conduct clearly suggest that you need to evaluate certain things in serving their interest,you must be humble enough to listen…..I have never claimed perfection or?”

Beyond the Ethical and moral reasons which enjoin me to support the JM candidature, is my absolute confidence in his level of competence and agenda for this Nation. I have sat in cabinet meetings with him severally and never have I ever witnessed a President with a clear agenda for National development than he epitomise.

After this, we ended the discourse and I have been thinking…..Perhaps, we young lads still have a lot to learn from such personalities. HUMILITY!
