ASEC Mimosas forward Amed Simba Toure has expressed his delight after netting the winner in the win against Aduana Stars in the CAF Confederation Cup opener on Sunday.

The Ivorian giants ASEC Mimosas started their CAF Confederation Cup campaign brightly after inflicting a 1-0 defeat on Ghana Premier League champions Aduana Stars at the Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny on Sunday.

But ASEC forward Amed Toure, who got the only the goal for the Yellow and Blacks, was impressed with the display of the Fire Boys, though he attributed their poor second half performance to fatigue.

"I very happy to have scored a goal today,we the ASEC players were tired because we had played a derby earlier in the week and the same players played that's why our second half wasn't like the first half," Toure stated on Oyerepa FM.

"I think Aduana also did well just that their strikers need to do more, they really need to up their game because they created a lot of chances which I didn't see why and how they squandered those chances."

Aduana will welcome Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca to the Dormaa Nana Agyemang Badu II Park on Match Day 2 of the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday, May 19.
