KMA owes GHS63m to waste collectors - Kumasi Mayor

The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) is indebted to waste management service providers to the tune of GHS63,800,000.

Kumasi Mayor Osei Assibey Antwi disclosed this at his sessional address delivered at the 1st ordinary meeting of the 3rd session of the 7th Assembly on Tuesday, 27 March 2018.

Mr Antwi noted that some of the debt date back several years.

He noted that the KMA has written to the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources, the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development and the Finance Ministry for a bailout to pay the debt.
