Stop arresting 'wee' smokers and legalize it - Group

A group calling itself Down South Satan Company, has urged the Nana Addo led administration, to legalize the use and sale of marijuana which is popularly known as ‘wee'.

The group believes the legalization will create jobs, generate more revenue for government through taxes and further help in the development of Ghana.

According to them, they will not relent in their efforts in ensuring that, government legalizes the use and sale of marijuana.

Spokesperson for the group, Rasta (not original name) argued that, the use of marijuana has immense health benefits aside the economic gains.

He told Rainbow Radio’s Kwasi Nyarko that, as a mechanic, he is able to work when he smokes ‘wee’.

He also decried the arrest by the police of suspected ‘wee’ smokers stating, it would be better to legalize the use and sale of ‘wee’ than to arrest and jail people for using same.
