A man known particularly for religiously quoting documents and citing sources on particularly ‘hot’ issues on corruption in society; Abdul Malik Kweku Baako, has been accused by Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress of doing a great disservice to Ghana.

According to him, Mr. Baako walks around with ‘fake’ and ‘expired’ documents which he flaunts around to create the illusion that he always has facts on every topical issue that emerges in the country.

Mr. Anyido, speaking on ’21 Minutes with KKB’, described the Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide as one of President Akufo-Addo’s ‘ventriloquists’ who plays the role of promoting his ‘empty slogans and hot air rhetoric’ under the guise of journalism.

“The President is engaged in empty sloganeering and hot air rhetoric that’s all he is doing and then when he throws it out, he’ll get his ventriloquists like Kweku Baako and co to run with it. As for Baako he’s a spent force, carrying all kinds of fake documents around. Some of those papers that he’s carrying, they are dead news, people retracted, people apologized but he still carries them around as documents, then he says he has documents”.

Mr. Anyidoho expressed surprise at how much information Mr. Baako has access to considering he admitted having dropped out of school at the basic level. For him, being fed such details from top agencies including the National Security is the only sound reason he could attribute to Mr. Baako’s source of information.

“This Kweku Baako guy, he sits down, they feed him with information from National Security then he comes on radio. He is able to predict even decisions to be taken by judges in court. Meanwhile he is the same person that says that he is ‘book short’. He dropped out of secondary school in form three, he himself admits that he is ‘book short’ yet he can predict the judgement that judges will give because he is being fed the judgement ahead of time to go and throw out. These people, they are doing a great disservice to Ghana. Kweku Baako and co, great disservice to this country”.

Meanwhile he has flawed government’s vision of a Ghana beyond aid describing it as unachievable considering the current state of affairs under the Akufo-Addo led government and the country’s debt under same.

“The President is not in control of everything, Finance Minister is borrowing and yet they say Ghana beyond aid. Ghana beyond which aid?”
