A Ghana beyond Aid; Akufo-Addo’s vision for the country was the focus of this year’s Independence Day celebrations, marking the 61st birthday of the country from the rule of Colonists. But is this message really feasible considering a number of evident factors notable among which is the fact that the country is bedeviled with the likes of robberies, filth, corruption, economic issues among others particularly in recent times?

The spotlight on today’s edition of Newsfile on Joynews will be put on the achievements and flaws of Ghana as it marks its 61st Anniversary.

Priority will also be given to pertinent issues including the decision of the Appeal court to set aside the findings of the Judgment Debt Commission chaired by Justice Yaw Appau against businessman Alfred Agbesi woyome for breach of the rules of natural justice and its implication on proceedings as far as the case is concerned and the supposed takeover of agric-focused bank; Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) by one of the country’s leading Banks; Unibank.
