More Islamic Teacher Training schools to be established across the country – Boniface

The Akufo-Addo led administration in partnership with the Ghana Muslim mission is set to establish Islamic Teacher Training Colleges as well as recruit nearly 3000 Arabic teachers across the country.

Speaking at the 5th national annual conference of Zongo chiefs in Koforidua attended by over 500 Zongo Chiefs across the country, the Minister for Zongo and Inner City development, Hon Abubakar Siddique Boniface made the announcement.

The Zongo Chiefs at the event hailed the government for the decision it has taken towards the development of the Zongo communities throughout the country.

Speaking at the event, Mohammed Dandi Maza Wajer, a Zongo Chief from the Central region thanked the government for the creation of the Zongo Fund, saying it will go a long way in reducing the difficulties facing the Zongo youth.

Sultan Saeed, an Ashanti regional Zongo Chief however called on the government to grant political appointments to the Muslims as well, saying they can also play a major role in making decisions on behalf of the country.
