The JBA Foundation (JBAF), a Christian non-governmental organisation was officially launched at the Holiday Inn Hotel,Accra on the 15th of December,2017. The ceremony was chaired by Mrs. Pearl Esua-Mensah,Group CEO of Media General and attended by a host of individuals and organisations.

The foundation is on a mission to provide access and opportunities to women and children who have been deprived by circumstances they have no control over. It has recognized the difficulties that millions of women and children face in our communities.

For many children, the battle to receive quality education and care, a basic human right, has been lost. Many women are continually marginalized in our communities, only considered important for childbearing duties. These unfortunate happenings have over the period, created a cycle of poverty and underachievement in their lives.

JBAF aims to break this cycle of poverty using well crafted strategies like the provision of Counselling and Psycho-Social Support for women and the setting up of a National Child Development Fund to support the education of Children.

Keynote speaker for the event, Dr. Geraldine Gina Abaidoo, a chartered insurer, lauded the inroads JBAF was making in attaining its vision even before its official launch.

She mentioned the foundation's donation to widows at Damongo in the Northern Region and the donation of assorted items to inmates of the Nsawam Female Prison as examples that indicate the genuine passion that JBAF has for the underprivileged in our society.

Representatives of JBAF at the launch also encouraged individuals and organisations to support their cause of making the world a better place for the less privileged.
