Many deem it as fashion to have rings on the fingers. It is a common practice of some women to buy rings and use them on their fingers as a way of beautifying them.

Some though, not married, prefer wearing these rings on the finger that signifies marriage.

They consider not where these rings are been sold or are coming from. These rings come in different types and their prices vary.

Luck, however, eluded 16-year-old Akosua Pokuaa in her bid to get a ring on for a dinner.

Akosua Pokuaa who hails from Donyina, near Ejisu in the Ashanti Region reportedly is said to have bought the ring from the Central Market of Kumasi.

After putting it on for the intended purpose, she tried severally in vain to remove the ring.

The ring which she had on her finger that is mostly used for wearing 'promise rings' just could not be removed after several attempts by relatives.

The drama became scarier when Akosua started having nightmares. Her sleep turned to be horror with the appearance of some scary creatures.

When eventually the family could not stand the situation, she was sent to a pastor who indicated to her that the ring was demonic after prayers.

Speaking exclusively on Ayehu, a flagship program aired on Metro FM, she indicated "...My brother sent me to a man of God. After praying for me, he directed us to go to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for it to be removed. He told me the spirit in the ring wanted to marry me spiritually".

As worrying as the situation is, Akosua is in a dilemma as to if she will really be saved from the trouble she's gotten herself into.
