he Ghana Community Network Services Limited (GCNet) has organised its fifth annual thanksgiving service at the head office in Accra.

Clad in white attire, the service brought together staff of the company, who prayed and danced to show appreciation to God for how far He had sustained and protected them in 2017.

Dr Nortey Omaboe, the Executive Chairman of GCNet thanked God for the feat chalked by the company in 2017, saying, without God it would not be possible for the company to achieve its goals and vision.

Dr Omaboe said even though there were some challenges in the previous years, God was good to them by protecting the company to grow from strength to strength.

He said in line with its vision, GCNet would continue to deploy vigorous ICT solutions to improve on the company’s service delivery and improve government revenue mobilisation.

Dubbed GCNet Live in Worship, the programme, under the theme “Thanksgiving and Praise Psalm 100:4/Psalm 92:1”, was attended by various stakeholders, including Ecobank, Ghana Revenue Authority, and the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana.

Dr Omaboe said there were high expectations to improve revenue collection and to accelerate the pace of development.

He said GCNet’s vision was to become the preferred partner organisation in revenue collection in the country.

“Our aim is to maintain our technology leadership role,” he said, adding that “we have chalked phenomenal success over the years,” including being adjudged the best ICT company in Ghana for the past three years.

Dr Omaboe urged the staff to maintain the company’s values of quality service, professionalism and integrity in their operations.

Deputy General Manager of GCNet, Mr Emmanuel Darko said the thanksgiving service was instituted five years ago to create an opportunity to express gratitude to God for His bountiful blessings on the company.

Pastor Andy Yawson, the General Overseer of KICC, who preached the sermon, entreated individuals and corporate bodies to acknowledge God in every aspect of their lives.

He said it was important to acknowledge God for his mercies, goodness and His Lordship over the earth.

Pastor Yawson said without God, individual knowledge and skills alone could not lead to success.

The General Overseer of KICC lauded the Management of GCNet for the decision to hold a thanksgiving service every year to thank God for His blessings and goodness.
